Air kayaking - half the work double the fun

You wish the world to be a happier place? Start with yourself. I believe a step closer to peace of mind is being more in nature. So why not try the inflatable way.

I think being in nature can offer healing to stressed out brains and bodies. Nature has a way of adjusting bodies back to normal and that's difficult not to appreciate.

One part of nature that almost anybody can connect to is water. It may have something to do with the spending place of our first months of existence.

Most people enjoy bathing, sailing or other water sports. The water sport I am going to talk about in this article is kayaking, inflatable kayaking.

Can inflatable kayaks live up to paddling expectations? Well, they will rarely go faster than hard-shell kayaks, and are often smaller.

Yes, inflatable kayaks are slower than conventional hard-shell kayaks, so if that is important to you, look elsewhere. Instead I suggest you look at durability, because an inflatable kayak can handle almost everything.

What else you might ask? Ok, The largest reason for purchasing an inflatable kayak is the portability. You can bring a little boat with you on a plane, as hand-luggage.

Well, isn't a hard-shell kayak easy to manage also? Indeed, compared to a traditional boat it's more like a toy. However, the hard-shell demands to be transported on top of a car while an inflatable kayak resides inside.

Improvements like this just make me so happy! Life should be enjoyed and the transporting part of kayaking is not my idea of fun. I know I'm not alone.

Think of carrying the kayak from its storing place, strap it to the car (if the roof-rack is on). Then returning to the house, repeat this a couple of times a week and you get the picture. I am an enthusiast, so I usually do it anyway, but I prefer not.

I try to focus on doing more of the things I like and less of the rest yep I pay tax). Sunny outside? I dress, jump into the car and go paddling, almost too easy.

Inflatable kayaks normally cost less then a hard-shell, you can get everything from traditional sea kayaks to white-water wave kayaks. There are models that can hold one or two persons, so you don't have to go by yourself.
